Top Gun

Ali had his birthday recently and its hard to find things for boys that have everything they need already so i thought i would give him an experience of Gliding.

 Going up can either be by winch or by a plane Ali was taken up by winch and there were quite a bit of g force as you get launched up into the air like some giant catapult but the exhilaration doesn't finish there as the glider has to do a dramatic nose drop to release the hook on the front of the glider so it is free to fly, a bit like a drop on a roller coaster but 10 times more. As your the passenger in the front you might feel your on some crazy death ride but as soon as the nose is back up you are surrounded by serenity and the views of the wonderful countryside.

Gliders have no engines and so rely on the thermals to fly about if there are thermals you could fly high and for a good amount of time however if there is cloud cover this stops the sun hitting the ground to create the heat thermals meaning a shorter flight and landing, so each flight is very unpredictable just as the weather is. Luckily Ali got a decent flight, before loads of clouds rolled in and the rain poured down.
