How does your garden grow August

With the new baby things have been very busy here and especially so for my lovely husband who has spent a few weekends working on a rather neglected part of the garden, i say neglected it used to be one of our vegetable plots but the area was such a hot zone the only thing the thrive there was tomatoes which tasted fantastic due to all the sunshine they sucked up.

the first picture shows that the area was a kinda mix between some crazy paving from the last residence who owned the house and so weird shaped veg beds we fitted in around the crazy paving.  Of course the first thing to do is clear the area and Mr muscle got to it.

One of the bed was used for herbs they also did rather well but the bed got crammed and did not fit in with our plans for the new area so i yanked them all out and made a potted herb area instead all survived nicely PHEW!!
After all the clearing the fence panels were painted and we got in 5 tuns of stones and racked these all over the newly flattened zone to make and area to sit and enjoy the sun as well as make a beach area for Sophie we moved up her big sand pit and most of the summer had the paddling pool out to pretend it was the sea. All around the edges we have lots of pretty potted flowers, i really love this new zone its so versatile and easy to manage and very little weeds to fight with as well so that is a bonus.
