About me

When i say good life mum i don't mean we keep goats and chickens in our back garden and i wear dungarees, just that being a mum is a change in life style and a good change that opens up a whole new world of experience and activities.

I hope that you enjoy looking around my blog.  Here at family Sims we enjoy getting up to all sorts of things, which you can find in a selection of "We like" buttons on my home page.  

2015 This year we have 1 year under our belt of country life and we have big plans to turn a meadow into a growing space for food for the family as well as a fresh cut flower patch, I do love a sweet pea, bright colours and heavenly scent.  There will be a big learning curve for us and I suspect a of disasters which will help us grow our knowledge.
 

2014 This year see's us look forward to our next big adventure as we change up our lives and relocate to the other side of the country, to give our girls some "Swallows and Amazons" life style as well as a good dash of seaside.  We hope you watching this chapter unfold as we get to grips with a more rural lifestyle.

The Starlets

Sophie who was born 9/8/09 and has a full on personality like most 5 year olds going on 15. She loves nature and technology. She is at the start of her school career and loves to learn and explore.  She is confident, strong and beautiful and strong willed at times.  Most of all she is my nature girl, my wild thing.

Ella who was born 5/6/13  she already shows a love for singing, Katie Perry and Frozen are up there in her song choices, she is 2, and the house is a bomb site daily due to this tiny person creating mess and havoc however I look at her and think the years are going too fast, slow down baby i want to enjoy each and every moment.

The Finance 

Ali my husband, has also discovered the garden and grows a few veggies and is keen to get to grips at boosting his knowledge, he loves to escape down the garden as much as he can.  He is the king of cocktails in our house and makes some darn good martinis.  He also works very hard for us girls and we love him so much for giving us an amazing life.

The Narrator 

me Helen a SAHM I don't profess to being an expert in anything i do but i have a can do practical mentality and dabble in baking although most of it ends up in the bin as my family don't seem to eat cakes, i enjoy photography,  and love to learn new things that interest me my latest project is learning about cut flowers and I have got a 70 ft long flower bed dedicated to fresh cut flowers.
