Seal watching

The weather is so mild this Christmas that a spot of seal watching on our coast line at Horsey was a real pleasure with winter sun basking on all the new born seal pups, over a quarter of the grey seal population visits this time of year to give birth to their pups before returning to the sea.  On that weekend there were 606 new pups born and the beach line was littered in snoozing bodies, fat and furry looking like big sausages laying in the sand.  We were not allowed on the beach as there were bulls about and it would be dangerous and not wanting to disturb the pups and mothers, but from our position there was plenty to see and the girls were in awe of such a special sight.

Make over for Christmas

Its Christmas and as is tradition with long holidays from school the girls get a make over and some colour in their hair, Sophie got purple but I think it looks very much like the pink we did in Summer.  Although Ella has little hair she didn't want to be left out so got a little red mohico and some gold glittery eyes.
