Despicable Me 2

Horray Despicable Me 2 has made a long awaited return.  After the last adventure where we met the criminal mind of Gru as he hatches a plan to capture the moon then looses the moon and gains a family.  This time we revisit Gru and his girls and as Gru is now a family man with his three girls Edith, Margo, Agnes he has gone straight leaving the criminal life behind him and is planning a new retail range in Jams and Jellies, whilst dealing with the trials of being a parent even having to fend off the first boyfriend and annoying neighbors.

This now leaves a new opening for a brand new Evil villain and here we meet El Matcho who has plans to take over the world.  El matcho is not the only new character as a new love interest for Gru in the form of the new recruit Lucy Wild for the Anti Villian League she is an all round tough chick who is a match for Gru if not better and i just want her lipstick taser which should be in all girls handbags.  Lucy Wild and Gru go on a undercover mission to find out who this latest super villain is and where the serum the Anti Villain League are looking for is.

However it is the minion that get the starring role with more movie time dedicated to them and their funny habits and behavior as they help out Gru run the house and his plans for jams, jellies and finding villains.

What Gru misses is that El Matcho has been swiping the minions and pumping them with the elusive serum to create an army of unstoppable evil minions, which he, Lucy Dr Nefario and the Girls have to find some way of stopping.

Great movie for 3 year old Sophie who found lots to laugh at mostly from the minions and be scared of again mostly the bad minions, Thumbs up all round and we give this a 3.5 star rating
