Brilliant Bournemouth

We have just come back from Bournemouth a week after i gave birth to baby Ella how well traveled is she already. A bucket and spade holiday was just what we all needed, as daddies holiday had been used for paternity so Sophie wouldn't of had a chance of a holiday this year.  The weather was a mix bag of sun, grey and showers and didn't put us off as the bright beach huts along the seafront were really cheerful.

We stayed at the Boscome end of Bournemouth which is a bit more quieter than the main Bournemouth beach which is only a mile away.  The time we went was term time so the beaches were empty which was lovely as this gave Sophie and daddy lots of space to run off their energy.

We were only on the sand for a minuet and Sophie got daddy busy digging holes, castles and mermaid tails and she had a great time.
Even little Ella looked like she was enjoying the sea air as she was snuggled up on my lap as we watched the chaos from the crazy pair running up and down the beach.

Daddy got to unwrap and play with his new kite Santa gave him for Xmas this is a 4 foot 6 inch wide kite and had a bit of drag on it, (meaning it pulls you along the beach) daddy was so buff he had good control over the kite and didn't get as much drag as mummy did.  Santa thinks that next year she will try harder and get a bigger more thrilling kite as we have once seen a man with a kite like this at Ivinghoe beacon where a man yes that really is a man is flying in the air with his kite.
With all that sea air its easy to work up an appetite and we stopped at a deli cafe called Urban Reef and had a lovely lunch that we stopped there again and had a really lovely dinner, the chefs were really talented as we ate through some exciting food and Sophie made friends with the waitress called Emma and we ended up spending hours at the restaurant.

After lunch Daddy and Sophie spent time in the hotel open swimming pool of The Chine which was a nice hotel with a traditional feel.

Soon our week was up and it was time for one last trip to the beach before packing to go home, thank goodness we packed light.
