Painting Easter eggs kit

What a fantastic morning we had today getting all crafty painting some pretty eggs all curtsey of the wonderful people from Lakeland who sent Sophie an Egg Decoration Kit.

There were four different coloured eggs to choose from and five pots of bright colourful paints and a brush to go with them as well as a little straw to sit them on once they were decorated.

With is being Easter half term holidays, little ones really need to be kept occupied and this kit hit the spot and only cost £1.99 so much cheaper than an Easter egg.

Sophie was fully occupied for a good 45 minuets while she spent her time choosing the eggs and decorating them she was very industrious and worked really hard painting rabbits and sheep in her own artistic style.

The recommended age is 3+ for this fab little kit but Sophie at two had now problem painting and was able to use the brush and hold the eggs at the same time and loved dipping into all the colours.  For me as a mum i loved that the paint pots were joined together so they didn't scatter and they weren't to big so there was not loads of spills and mess, and after 45 minuets of decorating Sophie still had paint left over for another day.
We had lots of fun with this kit and Sophie really enjoyed the opportunity to get creative and it was very fitting to have an Easter theme as well.  Sophie is of the age where we talk about everything, and this was a great activity, talking about eggs, Easter and naming all the colours as she played with her kit.  We love these so much that they will be appearing in this years Easter egg hunt round the garden, but with her creative flair stamped all over these i'm sure she will spot these a mile off.

  1. She did a brilliant job, and how nice to have an alternative to a chocolate egg as well! :)
