How much fun can you have with cake? A lot ! Cake pops are the latest craze and must have at any good party, events, special occasions or just because they are so darn cute.
I have been wanting to do cake pops for a while but the thought of crumbling up cake and adding yet more fats and sugar to them to mould them into shapes was a bit off putting.
However those smart people from Lakeland have come up with this fab cake pop maker and its affordable price is £19.99 which already is worth every penny as we have had so much fun with it and can see endless possibilities at party's, play dates and just for the fun of it every week getting it out and seeing what we can make.
it is incredibly easy to use and has 6 not stick moulds in which to put your batter into, and the amazing thing about this cake pop maker is that it will turn your batter into neat round fluffy cake in only 4 mins.
I followed one of the 5 recipes that came with the cake pop maker and to be honest they taste so good i could have eaten them naked, (the cakes not me) but getting creative and having some fun designing your cake pop is the point. When all were cooked the cleaning part of this cake pop maker was even easier than getting it out of the box just a wipe on the non stick part and it was all clean so great cakes, easy to use and no mess, Hooray !
While we waited for the cake pops to cool down we got all our pretty sprinkles sorted and melted our candy melts ready for dipping.
Dipping the cake pops was easy and fun to do but even more fun was dressing the little pops with all the pretty sprinkles.
Sophie was so proud of her cake pops and couldn't wait to tuck in and sample the treat.
Another excuse to get the cake pop maker out was a play date with Sophie's friend Tia who is 3 and I only needed to show her once how to do this and she couldn't wait to get dipping and sprinkling she even remembered to tap the excess candy melts before going crazy with some fancy designs.
The girls were fully occupied and enjoyed making lots of cake pops and she even made one for her big brother. I think these two could open their own cake pop stall.
The girls made all sorts of cake pops and the ideas are limitless they made pigs, chickens, a sheep that i think looks like a cloud, we put cut out flowers on the pops and a raft of rainbow sprinkles it was just heaven!
You really don't need an excuse to get this simple Cake pop maker out and have a bit of fun the only hard part is deciding what sprinkles to use.
They were really yummy! I took them round the school and Harley gave some to his friends. All the mums were very intrigued about them and were asking how we made them! Charlotte x
ReplyDeleteHope you told them how easy it was, Sophie and I had lots of fun with you and Tia. I think we might be starting a trend here our neighbour came to look at the pops and she is getting one for her daughter now.
