Cubby Kit Cress heads

Happy days we have our next Cubby Kit, the fantastic box of goodies to inspire little minds and stimulate creativity.

This one is the farmyard box inside awaited cress heads, hand painted flowers and farmyard animal masks as well as lot of other goodies to get creative with.

Today we will play with the cress heads and as usually everything you need is included in the pack and the instructions are bright and colourful and more important clear to understand and do.

Sophie got busy sticking on eyes noses and hair and a mouth, we found the glue a little tricky to work with on rounded cups as what ever we put on slide off so i let Sophie place the bits in position then got my hot glue gun out to give her a hand.

We made the eyebrows as directed but loved the spiky shape of the left over cut feathers we decided to use these as punky hair on the second pot, We left them to dry for a few mins before working on the next stage.

Sophie screwed up the tissue and popped the cotton on top before filling up with water to make sure the heads were good and wet.

A sprinkle of seeds and a good position in the kitchen window and then the waiting and watching part as each day we watched the magic of changing seeds to little plants

Our Funky Cress heads had grown their own green hair and look like very funny little characters

The best bit however was to come as we gave our little pots a hair cut and enjoyed a nice egg and cress sandwich for lunch mmmmmm yummy
