How camping seems to have changed

A little bit about our camping trip and how our observations from camping when we were kids to the present day has changed dramatically.

Ok I admit it I am naive and I will tell you why in a minuet but first I will tell you my rather basic romantic image of camping. One has a tent some beds a camping stove, good food and some great company and conversation, days are spent exploring or relaxing and evening drinking lots of intoxicating alcohol gazing up at the stars before slipping into a snugly sleeping bag and if you’re lucky it will rain later in the night and you can enjoy the soothing sound of rain drops on canvas, but always be sunny in the morning. That is what we planned for our first camping trip and that is what we had.

Plum jam and Plum Sauce and some Ale

I was lucky to go with my friend Emma to a ladies house who had 8 plum trees and after picking 3 kg of juicy ripe plums got cracking to turn them into something that would preserve them so i could enjoy them in the months to come.

Busy Tuesdays

Phoor i am feeling a bit out of sorts today i hope im not coming down with anything.  As usual i am up with the larks seeing as Sophie has taken to getting up from anywhere from 5 - 7 am but mostly 6 am, i think it must be a summer time thing that makes all the children wake up at the crack of dawn with all that day light even though Sophie has black out curtains.  A lot of mums seem to be complaining about the same thing and looking like the army of the walking dead from the lack of sleep and energetic children running rings around them.

Bath Food Now on Facebook

Here's my little pickle practising cutting soap,  and i have finally got myself a Bath Food page on facebook to showcase my wares. Bath Food

Soap selling Child first nursery

Well after the success of fairford lyes craft fair where i perched a cake stand of soap on the table of a good friends craft table, i made some more soap and boosted up the fragrance and made some new ranges.  My New collection was complete and i took the opportunity to showcase them at Sophie's birthday party to all the mummies that came and got their opinion on them and thought they were lovely.

Gone fishing

More of an excuse for a nice cuppa and a chat for the mums while the girls ran around the garden, Melody, Scarlett and Sophie.  We did finally get ourselves into gear and had a go at drawing fish, some with more artistic skills than others but it mattered not as it was all about a bit of mess and fun.  Fish with long fins and octopus's, star fish and a crab or two were all expertly drawn and cut out.
