Proms in the Park

Its that time of year again when the Proms hits our local park a very popular event as you can imagine. We headed out 2 hours early to make sure we got a good spot for the kids to enjoy the experience, we were very lucky and got front row seats and had to fend off a lot of people trying to sit on top of us.  As we got there so early we got to hear the orchestra practice and pretty much got the whole set before they even begun which was fab as we love the proms music and it was great to listen to as we ate our picnic.

Sophie Besty came along and the pair danced away the night in the front as all kids do and was lovely to see, they were dripping in glow sticks and as it got darker they had more fun.  Little Ella was quiet taken with the glow crown daddy was wearing and could not take her eyes off it.

As you can imagine with the proms there were all the classic prom favourites and some pieces that were put in for the kids such as the jungle book, overall there was a lot of flag waving and bomping up and down which suited me as i stood and held Ella

We brought our garden trolley which i dressed in flowers and fairy lights as i thought after a long evening dancing the night away she would be to tired and slow to walk the journey home so we plopped her in with all the picnic things and wheeled Sophie home to bed

  3. Looks like a great night to me, I would have loved to have gone, the thing is here in Texas the mosquitoes are so bad, and so huge (I swear they could carry off a small child) that I hate being out after night, especially with all of the disease those things carry! So I am envious when I see that families can be out at night together, that's just brilliant! Your family is lovely by the way!
