Sensory soap dough

Its raining hard outside and with our noses pressed to the window wondering where the sunshine has gone Sophie and I resign ourselves to staying trapped inside and looking to try something new to play with.  We saw this recently from the creative playhouse and couldn't wait to try it.

With only 2 ingredients 1 cup of Cornflour and 1/2 cup liquid soap and mixing it together you get a sensory dough to squish and press in your hands that smells lovely depending on what soap product you use.

Just add the liquid soap a bit at a time to get the consistency you want.

We made a second batch and coloured it you can use food colouring but as i am a soaper i had access to soap colouring.  We also blinged ours up with lots of pink glitter.

This is odd stuff indeed if you hold it up it will move slowly and stretch

If you hit it or treat it a little rougher it snaps and breaks and crumbles
Its great fun and very different to normal playdough more of a sensory dough that smells great.

  3. That looks like great fun... I read about a peanut butter play dough the other day. I might be tempted to eat that though!
