With all the interest in the garden recently i thought i would show Sophie about flower pressing.
So out we went to the garden and picked a selection of flowers and brought them back to the kitchen to lay out on paper and look at. Once we had laid these out we got some of my big heavy cook books and rested these on top of the flowers for 3 days. and hey presto Splat flowers as Sophie puts it.
My daughter's flower press was a flimsy plastic one and didn't last for long, I haven't replaced it yet, and now I am not going to... We have enough cookery books to press thousands of flowers! Thank you! :)
