A book for bed time Ten juicy radishes Peter rabbit

Ten juicy radishes, Peter Rabbit a delicious 3D counting book published by Penguin and based on Beatrix Potter.

A charming book about a hungry bunny Peter rabbit who has his eyes on ten juicy radishes only to see naughty bunnies such as Benjamin and Flopsy as well as his mother come and take a radish before he can get to them.
As the naughty bunnies take the radishes a 3D radish disappears as you turn the page leaving the reader with one less to count and a new part of the story to discover.  I think this is great at helping Sophie think about counting forwards as well as backwards and the 3D radishes are quite a substantial button which is good as she like to pretend that she also is a naughty bunny and eats one of the radishes.

This book is not a heavy card based book like many others but a heavy paper with a laminate on so the pages turn like paper but wont tear.  Illustrations of course are as you expect to be in the Beatrix Potter style which adds to the charm of reading the book.

A lovely story and another great way to get kids thinking about counting.
