Unfortunately the rest of the towns folk also had the same idea but a lot earlier than us and although we turned up at 9.30 we had to wait, and were giving a queuing ticket as the staff were letting people in numerical order however the staff ended up sending us home as the queues were so long we were actually sent home twice which i really didn't mind as queuing with a two year old would have been awful as she would not have the patience or understanding of why we were standing for so long.
When we got back later on the ticketing system wasn't being followed and the staff letting people in as they turned up. However we were very lucky as we were the very last pair to be let in which was at 2.30pm and we finally got to see Mr Maker at 3pm. Poor Mr Maker looked like some needed to "Maker" him a cuppa tea, but he was ever professional and cheery and asked everyone to give Sophie round of applause for being the last little girl he would see.
He asked for her name and wrote her an autograph and Mummy got to take a picture, Sophie here also looks tired as she missed her afternoon nap to meet him, and she was so happy that she had met the real man that she watches every day on the television.
Afterwards Sophie got her face painted to look like a lion, although i think the lady that did this hasn't seen that many lions, but Sophie was pleased and that's all that matters and she even gave a little roar when it was done.

ReplyDeleteGood old Mister Maker, what a dude! I wish he'd come to our local Hobbycraft! Sophie looks knackered, and she makes a very sweet little lion.
