February weekend

Finally the sun has come out and the weather feels a little warmer, so Sophie and i ventured out into the garden. I confess i am a fair weather gardener i just hate the cold and wet and would rather stay inside and bake.

So we cut all the dead things down and put them in the compost, cut our clematis right back and tidied up all the vegetable beds.  Sophie loves getting involved and dug the earth and even picked up the big rake and raked over the beds just like mummy did.
While we recycled the sand out of her sand pit into the vegetable beds we found two tiny frogs living in the damp sand, so we made them a little home so the local heron didn't come and gobble them up.
After the green house was sorted out we looked through our seeds and decided to plant some, peas, beans, some flowers and salads.  After all this hard work madam decided to take a break on the lounger under the apple tree next to where we do the potting arrrr bliss.
Where was daddy all this time, poor daddy was trapped in the house sanding the floor boards in our hall way we went into see him and check he hadn't chocked on all the dust and Sophie helps out by doing a little hand sanding, while thrashing daddy with a stick to work harder, here is a before shot of the awful floor we since painted the wood and banisters white to brighten everything up.

  3. Grow some peas but I warn you they won't make it to the kitchen if you have little one about, salad is good too and I have never had a problem with tomatoes, courgettes are good to but take space xxx
