The good life mum: Baker Ross Valentine hearts

I know Valentines has gone by but you don't need one day to tell someone you love them ! Baker Ross the very crafty people have sent us some Hearty crafts to get loved up with.

The first sweet heart craft item we played with was 3D Heart Hanging Decorations £2.99 for a pack of 12 and Carioca Superwashable Fine Tip Pens £1.49 for 12 can you believe the price what a bargain and the pens are also double colour ended too!

With it being half term and Sophie needing some activities to keep her busy mind active and with simple easy crafts at this price is brilliant. Madam was eager to get colouring on the 3D hearts making sure she made both side bright and beautiful. When finished the hearts simply slot together to become 3D and a gold thread makes them hangable, we thought we would put a little hole at the bottom of the hearts and thread the gold thread into the base as well as the top making the play room and fab heart shaped mobile.

The Carioca super washable pens were brilliant lots of bright vibrant colours easy to use as well and yes Sophie made a bit of mess with them drawing on her table as she went over the edge while colouring and getting pen on her fingers, so we thought we would put the Super washable to the test and wrote her name on her arm and let it dry before going to the sink to clean up and they really are super washable and the pen marks melted away with little effort from fingers arms and table, which is a bit of relief for me meaning i wont need to sit and supervise colouring in sessions with out worry of my sofa and daughter being covered in ink.

The next wonderful heart shape craft Sophie got busy with was a bit of sewing on the very pretty hanging heart decoration sewing kits again a bargain price of only £3.75 for 3 of them. She had lots of fun designing the front of the hearts with the sticky cut outs and sequins. Each kit came with everything you could possible need to finish the project including a safe needle for little fingers to sew up the hearts with guiding holes so the mini seamstress knew when to sew back and forth from as well as stuffing to make them all poofy and a ribbon for hanging the finished project. These are super adorable and are now hanging from around the house and what a great skill to learn SEW early on in life.
