Mawgan Porth and Newquay

If your ever going to Cornwall there are many wonderful beaches but we found this one at Mawgan Porth which is just perfect for small children.

It had everything soft sand, perfect surf, rock pools, great little caves to pretend to be pirates in and even a shelly river running to the sea on one side of the beach.  There were lots and lots of clear shallow pools all over the beach where the sun had warmed the water and were perfect and safe for frolicking in and Sophie took great joy in jumping in and rolling around in them making sure to splash mummy and daddy.
The next day we went to Newquay and loved shopping in all of the surf shop boutiques, we really like the town not like some other seaside towns full of amusement arcades and candy floss, but more surf, craft and vintage shops and of course the specialist Cornish pasty bakeries, cream tea outlets and clotted cream fudge stalls it was just heaven.  We went to the Blue reef aquarium which was a really good aquarium with lots different fish to see and Sophie loved the jelly fish, and sea horses and could wait to race on to the next tank to peer inside. Big thumbs up to Newquay.
