Easter day

Getting together for the kids for an Easter day ahead of the holiday on what must be the hottest day so far.
The day started with everyone looking their best which was very short lived, as the day unfolded everyone got messier and clothes where stripped off.

to get fuelled up for the day we started on a lovely picnic of delicious sandwiches, chocolate crispy nests and hot cross buns as well as some scrummy chocolate covered strawberries.
After lunch a bit of fun running around the garden and then some mask making where William was an Easter chick and Sophie a bunny, the time came for a cool down in the paddling pool where little Will just couldn't wait for mummy to fill it up, and loved splashing especially Sophie who wasn't impressed to be splashed.

Naked painting was next on the busy tots agenda and messier the better with full on body painting tummies and heads where covered in paint, foot and hand print making worked as well as some Easter stamps and rollers for added painting effects.
After a bit of a clean up in the paddling pool and some new clothes what Easter tot would not be seen without an Easter bonnet it is the latest Easter fashion don't you know! and even William set new presidency for the boys carrying off an Easter bonnet with flair and style.
Well so far an amazing day had been had, but the tots were not finished as the most important event had yet to take place. Oh yes the great Easter egg hunt!! Seeing as the tots had never done this before the concept only had to be explained once to them and with chocolate as motivation they picked up what to do with out having to be explained twice.  They loved the game so much they played it three times round the garden.

What a happy Easter fun day we all had lets hope the little ones sleep soundly tonight.  Happy Easter everyone.
