Chocolate and Hazelnut Brownies

Well its March and i still have some Christmas nuts rattling around the house so decided to turn them into brownies.


Ingredients
225g butter
200g flour
275g dark chocolate
400g sugar
5 large free range eggs
300g hazelnuts
pinch of salt
First melt the sugar, butter, salt and chocolate in a large bowl in the microwave for 3 mins checking and stirring every minuet. 
Next add one whisked egg at a time into the mix and stir in well, Sophie is well practiced at whisking eggs.
Fold in the flour and nuts mix in well, how great it is to have some child labour to do all that stirring, while Sophie was busy with the mixing i greased and floured a large dish which the brownie mix was added to and cooked at 180 for 40 mins.  The brownie was served warm with some home made Raspberry ice cream hit the link for the ice cream recipe.
