I bought this useful gadget a few years ago and each year have made my own pots and its a great way to recycle old newspapers.

Cut the news paper into strips about the height of the handle
Take one piece of paper and wrap around the handle, then push the handle up through the tube of the paper about an inch and fold the paper in on itself to create a base.
give the folded paper a good squish and twist on the base
hey presto paper potting pots all ready for seeds, and the great thing is once your plants are ready to go into the ground they can be planted into the ground with the paper as its bio degradable, and gives the tender roots a little extra protection
