Halloween night

Halloween is here and daddy is not and we are missing his input on pumpkin carving and jumping out on us behind doors and doing his scary sounds round the house.

Halloween continued and the day started with dressing the porch up in webs, bats and skeletons as well as a nice spooky wreath for the front door, we found a spindly twiggy heart shape wreath and wrapped it all up in webs, big orange lantern flowers lots of big and small spiders some of which had lights on for later when it got dark.

Of course pumpkin carving was on the activity list for the day and Sophie draw her scary face on the pumpkin and mummy carved it out before it was carried out into the blustery day outside ready to scary any visitors we may luckily get.

As dark approached Sophie got her face made up and then i put about 5 layers of clothes on her to keep her warm and then finally a tun of bandages.
Hey presto a scary dead mummy and she does a great dead face !!! and spent the rest of the time groaning like some half dead corpse which was perfect and of course she had a fab crystal skull led flashing light so we showed up as we went round in the dark.

It was time to turn on all the spider lights and pumpkins as well as lighting the candles in our carved pumpkins before we headed out trick or treating.

It was a very wet and windy night and there were not as many people participating as there were last year, we tend to go on the rule of if there is a pumpkin in the widow we knock and those that did were very in the spirit of Halloween and we were scared more than we scared them, they were also very generous to a little wet mummy who was knocking on their door.

  1. Brilliant stuff, I used to love Halloween so much as a child. And yes, I totally agree, Sophie's costume is just epic! :D
