We have been counting ourselves lucky living right in the middle of the country and not being flooded and watching the news as devastation hit places like Somerset, Devon and Cornwall with a lot of floods and bad weather warnings. Well this week we woke up to some mild flooding in comparison to some others, of our own. Canals had burst their banks and the waters had almost reach the meter mark on the flood defense marker. Rivers were rushing with torants of water and lakes spilled out swelling the surrounding parks and path ways. Fields flooded and cattle and horses moved on to less water covered areas. This is nothing to many and just a little splash and spill and our thoughts are going out to all those who have had some serious down pours and floods some of which are some blogging buddies.
