Happy new year to everyone and we hope all had as much fun as we did, after a lovely new years eve dinner we went out into the garden at 10.30pm to set off our new years eve fireworks, oh yes Sophie has totally got daddies fire bug craving for fireworks and the pair paraded the giant rockets that daddy had got and my they were the loudest rockets we have ever had so loud the echoed off all the houses around us much to the delight of a squealing Sophie and daddy.
quarter to midnight we let off our customary wish lantern and we all watches as it floated off into the new years sky making our wishes until we could not see it anymore. 10 to midnight and we finally got down to the last firework a 19 shot barrage which we saved for the finally, lots of wizzes bangs and bright sparks. Then we scurried into the house to marvel over the London firework display.
New years day bring our tradition of a special dinner of slow roasted rib eye beef which took 6 hours of cooking and it was so tender we served it with all the trimmings as customery in our home this time of year see Ali preparing all the meat for the dinners over Christmas and New year and what a great job he did.
