Lakeland Sweet treat waffle stick maker

So bored by the breakfast cereals during the week and Danish pastry we might have as a treat on the weekend.

We are lucky to be buddied up with our friends from Lakeland who saved our breakfast with this Sweet treats waffle sticks maker retailing at £22.95.
This waffle maker can make 6 waffle sticks at a time and they are ready in 2-3 mins which is great for feeding the hungry mouths at breakfast time with out anyone feeling left out to wait.
The waffle maker is really easy to clean as it has non stick and as you can see from our top picture they came out looking great and were easy to remove from the pan, the waffles are really tasty and it comes with 6 recipes for you to try out.
However we tried our own recipe first making very berry waffles and after little chef measured out all the ingredients and chopped up the strawberries making sure they were stirred into the batter.

we used the measuring cup that came with the waffle maker and added the batter to the machine then took a quick 2 min break to wait for the waffles to cook and wow the house filled with the amazing aroma of fresh warm waffles it was just heaven.

A dusting of icing sugar and Sophie was happy to be tucking into her tasty treat.  I have to say that we tried the recipe as it was intended and we ended up making 40 waffles from 1 batch WOW but saying that i would do the same again as we divided these up into tubs and they froze really well and made a portion for the fridge for the next day and these still tasted divine chilled, not only that they came in really handy as snacks.

The next day we really had to try quite a few of the recipes that were in the book the chocolate chip were just too naughty and were gobbled up in record speed.  there was also recipes for Pecan nut waffles, Apple waffles, buttermilk waffle and a savoury waffle all tasted amazing.  We loved dipping these in the sauces recipes provided too but you can also put icing on them and cover them in sprinkles if you want to get more creative.

This was also a great fun activity to do with Sophie as the cooking results were so quick she got to see teh rewards of her hard work, plus she just loved mixing up all the other recipes with teh ingredients adn it kept us bust in the kitchen for some time.

Hooray and thank you to Lakeland for breathing some fun into breakfast and snacks.
