Decopatch Eggs

Easter is fast approaching and we are almost ready to have our great Easter egg hunt,  We have bought and made all sorts of things to hunt for not just eggs and not all chocolate.  One of the things we did buy were some plastic eggs that had some small jellies inside.  They came in a range of bright colours but we thought that we could jazz some of them up and make them pretty so decided that a bit of deco patch was in order.  Sorry for the bad photo above.

Lucky for us the eggs came with two holes on the top and as we wanted Sophie to look high and low this year we attached some wool to make hangers.

After much tearing of a range of papers Sophie and i got nice and sticky with some glue as we covered up the simple solid colour of the egg with the pretty papers, and left these to dry over night.

We also had a lot of Easter stickers which were the perfect size for adding to the embellishment of the eggs.  Once everything was dry and had stickers we re added the sweeties to the center and closed up the eggs ready for hanging.  The only thing we need now is it to get warmer before the weekend to come and all this snow to go away as it sure does not feel like spring and an Easter egg hunt in the mids of winter feeling weather wont be much fun.
