Recycling furniture

I have this Wot not which was used to put washing equipment in days before people had sinks and taps.  I bought it for £5 at an auction house, BARGIN  in my eyes and decided to give it a revamp.

Sophie decided to help also by getting inside the cupboard, as she had seen a lady do this in a magic act on the television, could this be a future career?
I would advise doing this in the garden as the chemicals are really smelly and can give you a headache.  After removing the old handles i used the 2 step crackle glaze to give the cupboard a make over, its really important that you buy more of the spray than you think you need and keep the receipt to take any you don't use back to the shop later.  With the 2 cans, they have to be used in conjunction with each other and while still wet /tacky so it is infuriating to run out.  Also work on a section at a time and dont worry about overlapping first step onto a finished section as this can add to the charm as also be covered over with step 2  and provide more crackles, if you see i completed the feet then did the front, i them moved round the different sections and touched  up afterwards.
you can probably see the chemical reaction that is happening between the two paints and see the crackle effect forming on the side of the cupboard.  This is a quite a quick job taking just a few hours as the paint comes from a spray can making it faster to apply.  I also finished off applying spray lacquer as well.  Finally some new handles and hey presto a vamped up new, old looking cupboard.
