Heather on the heath

September is almost here and the whispers of autumn are starting to appear with wonderful colour that could compete with spring.  This time of year the heath is bursting with purples and pinks from the heather and against the golds of the gorse are a sight not to be missed.

On a one of our nature walks the the girls had fun rambling through shrub land and up trees
our trail took us along marshland and we enjoyed watching the dragonflies dancing and mating in the air

I just love the clash of colours and as we walked I was glad we didn't have the pushchair anymore, although Ella spent a lot of time on our shoulders and in our arms.

We noticed a lot of webs across heather and soon found one occupant and it reminded me that September is coming and soon we will be more aware of a lot of spiders around.
